MAWULOM DEKU, born in 19th march 1988 in accra - Ghana, to retired GROUP CAPTAIN ZAGLA DEKU of the GHANA AIRFORCE and HENRIETTA DEKU a Trader. He performs under the name ELOM, which is the short for mawulom, described by EL PAIS in march 2019 as a musician who “will turn into something big” is a Ghanaian indie singer-Songwriter and guitarist from aflao in the Volta region of Ghana, influenced by ewe folk music and indie folk, he sings in both English and Ewe. His passionate songwriting and performances sweeps his listeners into a space of freedom, pain and pleasure.
